Michael Richards has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Michael currently serves as a Finance Services Principal at INFITX, where they are involved in the design and standards evolution for interoperation systems in emerging economies. Michael also represents the Mojaloop Foundation on ISO 20022 standards committees. Prior to this, they worked as a Financial Services Principal at ModusBox, where they focused on improving access to financial services in developing countries and expanding financial inclusion.

Before their role at ModusBox, Michael Richards served as a Chief Architect at MoMo Software, where they provided design and architecture leadership for a mobile money solution. Michael also held the position of Chief Architect at Vodafone M-PESA Project, leading a team of architects and delivering improvements to the mobile money system.

Early in their career, Michael Richards worked as a Technical Director at Gresham Bell. Overall, Michael Richards has gained extensive experience in finance services, interoperation systems, mobile money solutions, and architectural leadership.

Michael Richards completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, General from the University of Cambridge in 1974. Michael went on to earn a Ph.D. in English from the same institution, graduating in 1979.
