Most deep tech founders know their technology works. Convincing an investment committee to believe the same thing - and to write the cheque - is a different problem entirely.

InflectionLab is a Melbourne-based venture services firm providing VC-in-Residence advisory to early-stage deep tech founders across Australia and New Zealand.

Our team has presented and been on investment committees. We've evaluated deals, written term sheets, and watched good companies fail to raise because they couldn't answer the questions that matter. We work backward from that experience to prepare founders for the real thing.

We work on the substance beneath the pitch: the investment thesis, commercial validation, the data room, and the answers to questions founders haven't been asked yet.

We prepare founders to run the raise themselves. Investors back founders who demonstrate the judgment to manage a fundraising process, not teams who outsource it.

Our methodology starts with one question: what does a VC need to believe to write this cheque? We identify which of those beliefs are missing or weak, and help the founders build the evidence to support them.

Current focus: Seed to Series B deep tech companies looking to launch a raise in the near future.

If you're preparing to raise - or want to understand where you actually stand with investors - talk to us.
