David Chen

David Chen, Ph.D., is an R&D physicist specializing in quantum sensors with over 17 years of experience in developing advanced laser, electronic, and optical systems. They served as a light-microscopy specialist at The Rockefeller University, where they collaborated on a commercial two-photon microscope and contributed to innovative imaging techniques. At Intelligent Imaging Innovations (3i), they led the development of a new laser microscope and implemented time-multiplexed data acquisition systems. David earned dual Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering, both summa cum laude, from the Universidad de Chile and completed a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. They are currently working as a Senior Quantum Physicist at Infleqtion.
