Mark Saffman

Mark Saffman began their work experience in 1981 at TRW Defense and Space Systems, where they worked as a Member Of Technical Staff until 1983. Mark then worked at Dantec Dynamics as an Engineer from 1983 to 1989. In 1994, they joined Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy as a Senior Scientist until 1999. In that same year, they became a Professor of Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Most recently, in 2018, they took on the role of Chief Scientist for Quantum Information at Infleqtion, Inc. (formerly ColdQuanta).

Mark Saffman completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) with honors in Applied Physics at Caltech from 1978 to 1981. Mark then pursued higher education and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder, completing their degree from 1989 to 1994.
