Malcolm Coffin

Partner at Inflexion

Malcolm is a Partner based in the Manchester office where he focuses on investments across a broad range of sectors with a particular focus on industrial products. Since joining Inflexion in 2007, Malcolm has been involved in numerous transactions, including leading our investments in Aspen Pumps, Creative Car Park and Calco where he holds board positions, as well as investments in Bollington Wilson Group, UK Power Reserve, CTC Aviation Group, Rhead Group, Ideal Shopping Direct, Vivona Brands and SMD, and the successful exits of CP Electronics and Harrington Brooks.

Having led the investment in Netherlands based Calco, Malcolm is also responsible for developing Inflexion’s presence in the Benelux regions alongside Sander Ruijter.

In addition, Malcolm has been heavily involved in Inflexion’s previous successful fundraising.

With an MA in Social and Political Sciences from Cambridge University, Malcolm began his career at Deloitte where he gained his ACA followed by time in the M&A team at Rothschild before joining Inflexion.

He is a keen sportsman, though given his young family he is nowadays more of an armchair fan. Despite living in Manchester and his colleague’s best attempts, he remains an avid Chelsea fan.
