Simon Moore

Principal Firmware Engineer at Inflowmatix

Simon Moore has worked in the software and firmware engineering industry since 1995. Simon began their career as a Scientific Officer/Professional Engineer at the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (now Qinetiq) where they designed and developed data acquisition and control systems to measure the performance of ion thrusters for spacecraft propulsion systems. In 1998, they moved to Oxford Instruments (Superconductivity) (now ARKeX) as a Software Engineer, where they developed and analyzed a MATLAB + Simulink model for a Super-conducting Gravity Gradiometer (SGG). In 2000, they joined NEC Technologies (UK) Ltd as a Principal Software Engineer, where they led a team of engineers to implement Java JSRs for UMTS mobile telephones and developed a variety of packet data services and applications. In 2006, they joined Sepura as a Principal Software Engineer, where they were responsible for the WAP browser, packet data and Wi-Fi sub-systems, as well as various other middleware services. Finally, in 2016, they joined Inflowmatix Limited as a Principal Firmware Engineer.

Simon Moore attended the Hundred of Hoo High School from 1987 to 1991. Simon then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics at the University of Southampton from 1991 to 1995.
