Ian Postuma

Ian Postuma, Ph.D., is a technologist specializing in the application of physics to medicine, with a focus on Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). They proposed and led the INFN IT-STARTS project, which advanced the understanding of ionizing radiation's effects on biological tissues. With extensive experience in radiobiological experiments, medical imaging, and deep learning, Ian currently contributes to the Communication Task Force for ISNCT while also participating in artificial intelligence initiatives within the INFN group. They hold a Ph.D. in Physics from Università degli Studi di Pavia, where they previously served as a lecturer.
