Mark Little is a distinguished Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and has served as VP of Engineering at Red Hat since June 2006, overseeing engineering teams in JBoss/Fuse and mobile, while also holding roles such as CTO of JBoss, Director of Standards, and Senior Director of Engineering. In academia, Mark Little is a Professor at Newcastle University, mentoring PhD and MSc students and contributing to research efforts since 1991. Additionally, as a Visiting Professor at INSA de Lyon, Mark collaborates on projects related to IoT and middleware. In the domain of standards, Mark serves as the primary representative for Red Hat on several committees, including the Java Community Process and OASIS. Mark also contributes to InfoQ as an editor specializing in SOA and enterprise integration. Mark holds a PhD in Computer Science and a BSc in Physics and Computer Science from Newcastle University.
