Matthew Campbell, OCT, currently serves as the SVP of Cloud Platform at D2L, overseeing the Foundation Development and SRE/Operations groups to ensure the smooth operation of the Brightspace product. They have successfully implemented DevOps principles and Agile methodologies while leading the migration of infrastructure to AWS. With a background in both engineering and education, Matthew is a certified teacher in Ontario and teaches continuing education courses at Conestoga College. Their previous roles include editing for InfoQ and various teaching positions, alongside substantial experience in project management and software development. Matthew holds a BSc in Computer Science and a BEd focused on Physics and Computer Science.
