Tara Gibb has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the B2B events and services industry. Tara started their career as an Account Executive at Total Event Productions Inc in 1996 and later worked as a Program Manager at Avon in 1998. In 1999, they joined IDG as a Marketing Manager before moving to Think Services, a division of UBM, where they served as Director of Marketing from 2004 to 2007 and as Vice President of Marketing from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, they became the Global Brand Director at ICMI, a part of UBM, where they successfully turned around the business and achieved significant financial growth. From 2015 to 2017, Tara worked as a Portfolio Director at UBM Connect, managing the portfolio for two UBM brands. Tara then joined Informa Tech as a Group Portfolio Director, overseeing two Informa brands and driving annual revenue growth. Currently, they are a Senior Director at Informa Tech, responsible for managing four Informa brands and driving combined annual revenue. Tara is known for their strategic leadership, financial acumen, and ability to drive positive culture and high performance within their teams.
Tara Gibb obtained their high school diploma from Glen Rock High School between 1987 and 1991. Following that, they attended the University of Richmond from 1991 to 1995, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Political Science. Tara also pursued minors in Women's Studies and History. In addition to their formal education, Tara Gibb obtained a certification in Informa Ignite - Data Driven Journey - Green Belt from Informa in September 2022.
