Moritz Lawitschka

Moritz Lawitschka is an experienced professional with a diverse range of roles in the field of software engineering and management. Moritz is currently working as the Head of Engineering at informed since April 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Engineering - CX Backend at Marley Spoon from August 2020 to April 2021, where they led a department of 25 Backend engineers across four teams. Before that, they worked as a Software Engineering Manager from March 2020 to July 2020 and as a Senior Engineering Team Lead from August 2018 to February 2020 at Marley Spoon.

In 2017, Moritz took a Sabbatical to travel, and from 2013 to 2016, they held the position of Head of Engineering at SuitePad GmbH. In this role, they managed a team of developers, made architectural design decisions, and handled project management and stakeholder communication. Additionally, they worked as a Lead Backend Developer from July 2013 to January 2016 at SuitePad, where they revamped the existing backend architecture and integrated it with hotel software services.

Moritz Lawitschka began their career as a CTO/Partner at urbanvention UG in 2010. Here, they co-founded the company and specialized in building prototypes for startups to secure funding. urbanvention also provided web development services to prominent companies such as Carhartt WIP, Ottobock, and The American Academy of Berlin.

Moritz Lawitschka completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Technische Universität Berlin from 2006 to 2010. Moritz further pursued their education at the same institution, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 2010 to 2013.
