Robert Garmaise

Robert Garmaise has a strong and diverse work experience in the technology, research, and innovation fields. Robert started their career as an Associate at McKinsey & Company in 1996 and later worked at Microsoft as a Product Planner. At Workbrain, they held the position of Area VP and Director of Program Management, where they successfully grew product revenues and maintained client relationships. Robert then joined Blockbuster Canada as a Senior Director of IT.

Moving forward, Garmaise took on the role of Senior Vice President of Product & Strategy at Info-Tech Research Group. In this position, they achieved significant growth in revenue and launched a successful HR subsidiary. Robert later became the Chief Product & Innovation Officer at Fasken Martineau, where they tripled revenue and implemented innovative solutions, raising the firm's ranking to #1 in Canada in terms of client innovation.

Garmaise returned to Info-Tech Research Group as the VP of AI Research, where they identify AI trends and opportunities for clients. Robert also serves as a Product Coach and Executive Advisor at Fintech Cadence, preparing startups for successful monetization and launch.

Most recently, Garmaise held the role of Chief Product Officer at TheGuarantors, driving the product vision and roadmap. Robert achieved a 100% renewal rate, expanded the company's addressable market, and reduced underwriting cycle times. Throughout their career, Garmaise has demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to build and mentor successful teams.

Robert Garmaise obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Harvard University between the years 1985 and 1990. Robert then pursued a Masters of Management degree with a focus on Marketing, Finance, Accounting, and Organizational Behavior at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 1994 to 1996.
