Tom Carr

Tom Carr has worked in the IT field since 1979. Tom began their career as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Signal Corps, where they directed the day-to-day operations of a large IT service organization in Europe. In 1996, they became a Presidential Communications Officer and Director of White House Customer Support for the White House Communications Agency. After that, they worked as the Director of Operations for the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, where they created the first operational budget and realigned departments to bring expenses in line with the revenues. Tom then worked as the Operations Manager for Price Morgan, LLC and then as the Executive Director for CHARACTER COUNTS! Nashville. Finally, they worked as an Information Technology Consultant for InfoWorks, Inc. from 2010 to the present.

Tom Carr attended Columbia Military Academy from 1970 to 1975 and obtained their diploma. Tom then attended Florida State University from 1975 to 1979, earning a BS in Criminology. In 1988, they obtained an MS in Systems Management from the Florida Institute of Technology and in 1996, they obtained an MA in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. In 2017, they obtained a Certified Pistol Instructor certification from the National Rifle Association.
