Stuart MacFarlane has a diverse range of work experience in various companies. Stuart currently works at Infrastructure Ontario as the VP of Commercial Projects, where they oversee fair and transparent processes, maximizes returns for the government, and protects the public interest. Stuart joined Infrastructure Ontario in 2019. Prior to that, Stuart worked at MAXIMUS Canada as the Vice-President of Sales, where they focused on accelerating growth through a bundled solution approach and developing sales strategies in key vertical markets. Stuart joined MAXIMUS Canada in 2012 and worked there until 2019. Before MAXIMUS, they worked at IBM as a Business Development Executive from 2011 to 2012. Stuart also has experience at TELUS Sourcing Solutions Inc. as a General Manager, where they were responsible for developing the HR BPO practice in Ontario and leading various national solutions. Stuart worked at TELUS from 2006 to 2011. Additionally, Stuart served as a Board Member at Mainstay from 2008 to 2010. Stuart started their career at Ceridian Canada Inc., where they held various leadership positions, including Vice President of Customer Care and Vice President of Corporate Business Solutions. Stuart was with Ceridian Canada Inc. from 1992 to 2006.

Stuart MacFarlane received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto in 1991. Stuart later pursued an MBA degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Queen's University, completing it in 2006. In 2009, Stuart obtained an M.A. degree in Human Resource Management from York University.
