Alexander Opitz

Alexander Opitz is an experienced finance and technology professional with a strong background in e-trading solutions, particularly within the fixed income sector. Currently serving as the Director and ION Product Owner at ING since September 2021, Alexander leads the development and support of the ION Marketview platform. Previously, Alexander worked as an E-Trading ION Consultant at Mizuho, where responsibilities included the rollout of the ION MTS Cash Dealer market and guidance on platform refinements. In a role as Director and Head of E-Trading Technology EMEA at MUFG, Alexander managed front office application development with a focus on ION Marketview, while earlier experience includes consulting roles at Credit Agricole CIB and ICAP. Alexander holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and E-Commerce from the University of Westminster and has a solid educational foundation rooted in the UK and Germany.
