Bas van Stralen

Bas van Stralen is a professional with extensive experience in credit risk management and financial risk consulting. Currently serving as a Research & Advice Professional in Credit Risk Measurement at ING since October 2015, Bas focuses on IFRS9 impairment modeling. Prior to this role, Bas worked at EY from August 2007 to September 2015 as a credit risk expert, providing consulting services to both national and international clients, including major financial institutions like ABN AMRO and Credit Suisse. Bas began a career in agriculture at Plak Chrysanten, managing a team during secondary school and university. Academically, Bas holds a Master’s degree in Theoretical Chemistry and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, along with secondary education completion at Trinitas College.
