Bastian Buhlmann

Bastian Buhlmann is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in financial crime compliance and risk management. Currently serving as the Head of Financial Crime Quality Assurance at ING since July 2021, Bastian has previously held significant roles at Commerzbank AG, Credit Suisse, Deloitte UK, and Hydrogen Group. Bastian's expertise spans Anti-Money-Laundering (AML), sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, transaction monitoring, and customer due diligence processes. Bastian's early career includes positions in the Deutscher Bundestag and Bavaria Film Gruppe, showcasing a diverse background in stakeholder engagement and regulatory analysis. Bastian holds a degree in Law from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and has furthered education at Trinity College Dublin.
