Craig Ferguson

Craig Ferguson has extensive experience in software engineering and infrastructure design. Currently serving as an MLOps & Infrastructure specialist at Papercup since March 2022, Craig focuses on building infrastructure for efficient model deployments and enhancing feature generation pipelines. Previously, as a Software Architect at konobo from May 2020 to February 2022, Craig led the development of a scalable chatbot for real-time data insights. Additionally, at takealot.com, Craig worked as a Senior Software Engineer and a Software Engineer, contributing to the development of a warehouse management solution and evolving systems into microservices. Earlier experience includes designing distributed systems at iFix and completing a BSc Honours thesis on high-performance traffic-sign recognition while studying at the University of Cape Town, where Craig earned a degree in Geomatics. Craig also completed a program in AI programming with Python and Deep Learning at Udacity in 2019.
