Klaus Weiß has extensive experience in information technology and risk management, having held various leadership roles in prominent financial institutions. As CIO of ING France from March 2021 to April 2023 and CIO of ING Bank Česká republika from May 2017 to March 2021, Klaus contributed to advancements in IT strategy. Currently, Klaus serves as Global Head of IT Risk Management at ING since June 2025, following a role as IT Lead Business Banking at ING Deutschland from May 2023 to May 2025. Previous positions include CIO at Deutsche WertpapierService Bank AG and Bereichsleiter IT/CIO at DAB bank AG, alongside a tenure as Business Unit Manager at Pentasys AG and Geschäftsführer at sd&m AG. Klaus holds a Diplom in Informatik from the Technical University Munich, obtained between 1987 and 1993.
