Lieven Merckx

Lieven Merckx is a Senior Technical Architect at ING, where they lead the design of the Global Financial Messaging Engine, facilitating financial message routing across ING's entities and the SWIFT network. With extensive experience in infrastructure architecture, they have held various roles at ING since 1984, including IT Manager and Domain Architect. Their previous positions include IT Manager for the ING Contact Centre and Technology Leader at Bank Brussel Lambert, where they oversaw significant system integrations. Lieven holds an engineering degree in electronics from Ghent University and completed secondary education at Sint-Jozefscollege Aalst.
