Matthijs Augustijn

Matthijs Augustijn is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various respected institutions. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of FI Netherlands and Nordics at ING since February 2016, Matthijs has held multiple titles within the organization, including Director of FI Advisory. Prior to ING, Matthijs worked at Ageas as Director of Strategy and Corporate Development, and at Fortis Luxembourg where responsibilities included Director of Strategy and Performance Management. Matthijs also gained valuable experience at Fortis Insurance International, ABN AMRO Bank N.V., and NWB, progressing through roles in corporate finance and treasury management. Academic qualifications include an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and a Master's in Corporate Law from Leiden University.
