Mehmet Şimşek

Mehmet Şimşek is a seasoned Data Scientist with extensive experience in applying AI and machine learning solutions across various industries. Currently at ING since March 2022, Mehmet focuses on building an early warning system for credit risk and managing data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. Prior experience includes roles at Upwork, where Mehmet worked on diverse data science projects including demand prediction and customer churn analysis, and as an instructor in data science and H2O. Mehmet's background also features significant contributions to Global Risk Compliance, Prospect 33, and as an independent contractor with Appen, where various projects involved natural language processing. Previous experience in the military included positions as an Acquisition Specialist and Platoon Leader, alongside academic credentials including an MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School.
