Michiel de Haan

Michiel de Haan serves as the Global Head of Energy at ING Bank, leading an international team in navigating the opportunities presented by the Energy Transition. Since 2018, they have set the strategic direction for ING's Energy Transition efforts, ensuring that the organization is prepared for evolving regulatory and commercial landscapes. Prior to this, Michiel held the position of Global Head of Natural Resources from 2016 to 2018 and has extensive experience in structured finance. They earned a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from TU Delft and completed additional education at INSEAD in 2012.
