Murat Tursun

Murat Tursun is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in audit and risk management. Most recently, Murat served as the Global Audit Department Head for both Challengers & Growth Markets and ING Netherlands at ING from September 2021 to September 2022. Previous roles include Executive Director and CRO at Akbank NV, where Murat was also a member of the Managing Board, as well as a series of leadership positions in internal auditing and risk management at Akbank and ING Turkey. Murat holds a BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering and an MBA in Business Administration, all from Middle East Technical University. Murat is also a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (MICA).
