Oscar McCarthy

Oscar McCarthy is a seasoned risk management professional with extensive experience in financial risk regulation, policy, and governance. Currently serving as a Senior Risk Expert at ING since 2020, Oscar previously held the position of Associate Partner at Reply, where leadership of the Netherlands Banking Advisory practice was a key responsibility. Prior to that, as a Senior Manager at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Oscar oversaw Regulation & Policy and was the Risk Lead for the Financial Markets Basel3 Programme. Early career roles include Risk Manager positions at Lloyds Bank and a Risk Consultant role at IBM. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics from the University of Bath and the University of Hull, respectively, along with a Licentiate degree from Université Paris Cité and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Leeds.
