Peter van Bemmelen

Peter Van Bemmelen is an experienced professional in finance and innovation, currently serving as a Product and Venture Builder at ING since July 2018. In this role at ING Labs, Peter co-heads the ING CheckAhead product, which focuses on credit scoring through transaction data using open banking/PSD2. Previously, Peter held positions such as Innovation Lead in the Commodities Group, where responsibilities included sourcing and executing strategic investments and developing trade innovation strategies. Peter's earlier experience includes roles as VP in the Commodities Group at ING Capital, focused on deal origination in metals and infrastructure sectors, and as an Associate in Structured Finance specializing in natural resources. Peter’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in Finance & Investments from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Master’s in Corporate Finance from the University of Calgary.
