Rein Graat is an experienced Group Chief Compliance Officer at ING, with over 20 years in the global financial services industry across the Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Singapore. Rein serves as a trusted advisor on compliance, legal matters, corporate governance, and business ethics. Previous roles include General Counsel for Asia Pacific and Australia, and various leadership positions in strategy and sales within ING’s Financial Markets division. Rein's career began at Van Rhijn notarissen as a Junior Lawyer, followed by a Senior Lawyer position at Simmons & Simmons, and serving as General Counsel at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. Rein holds degrees from Utrecht University and Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
