Roel Huisman

Roel Huisman currently serves as the Head of Payment & Settlement Services at ING since April 2022. Previous roles include Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Payconiq International from February 2023 to October 2023, and a Member of the Board of Directors at R3 between March 2022 and August 2023. Roel held CEO positions at ING Česká republika and ING España & Portugal, and was the Chief Retail Banking Officer at TMB Bank PCL from July 2015 to July 2019. Additional experience includes a tenure as CEO at ING-DiBa Direktbank Austria and various leadership roles at ING, including Director of Payments. Roel's early career included an internship at Unilever Vietnam International Co Ltd. Roel Huisman holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Leiden University and completed an Executive Development programme at CEDEP.
