Rupert Townsend

Rupert Townsend has extensive experience in finance and business control, currently serving as Head of Finance & Business Control in Payments at ING since September 2019. Previous roles at ING include Head of Controlling for Technology Transformation and Global Technology Contracts Finance, where Rupert oversaw financial controllership and commercial advisory. Prior to ING, Rupert held various positions at Lloyds Banking Group, including CFO for the international Legacy business portfolio and Strategic Finance roles, focusing on M&A and business management for divested companies. Early career experiences include management consulting at PA Consulting and finance roles at The HEINEKEN Company and Procter & Gamble. Rupert holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
