Sander Tan

Sander Tan is a Senior Data Engineer at ING, based in Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands. They bring a wealth of experience from both academia and industry, having previously worked as a Data Engineer and Data Scientist at UMC Utrecht, and as a Bioinformatics Data Engineer at The Hyve, where they contributed to the cBioPortal application for genomic data analysis. They have a strong background in bioinformatics, having created tools for genomic data analysis at the Hubrecht Institute and developed bioinformatics pipelines for pharmaceutical companies. Sander holds a Bachelor of Science in Bèta-Gamma with a major in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Amsterdam and a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
