Steffie S. is a seasoned professional in non-financial risk management currently serving as the Global Head of Non-Financial Risk at ING since August 2025, leading the strategy to tackle emerging non-financial risks. Steffie has held prominent roles at De Nederlandsche Bank, including Team Lead and Senior Supervisor for International Insurance Groups, Head of Department for Banking Supervision, and Head of Financial Crime Supervision, where responsibilities included overseeing the prudential supervision of banks and addressing financial crime within the banking sector. Early career experience includes positions as an Economist/Policy Advisor at De Nederlandsche Bank and in Private Banking at Rabobank, along with a role as a Board Member for Pensioenfonds DNB. Steffie holds a degree from Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, completed in 2024.
