Gary Smith

Gary Smith is an experienced professional currently serving as Head of Delivery for HMPPS CFO3 at Ingeus since November 2021, overseeing operations in the North East, Yorkshire & Humber, and East Midlands regions. Prior to this, Gary held the position of East Midlands Business Manager at APM from October 2018 to November 2021, managing a team focused on employment support for offenders and ex-offenders. Gary's career began in the Royal Navy, where from October 1982 to December 2005, roles included Chief Petty Officer and Head of Department for Sonar Systems, followed by positions as Training Manager and senior analyst. Additionally, a tenure as Training Designer Instructor at VT Group plc from March 2007 to March 2010 involved creating and delivering training programs for Royal Navy personnel on Astute Class Submarines. Education was completed at Lundwood Priory School from 1976 to 1981.
