Jody Barnes

Jody Barnes has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information technology and security. Starting in 1990, Jody worked as a Systems Programmer for Philips Consumer Electronics North America. From there, they moved on to Franklin Templeton as a Network Analyst. In 1994, Jody joined Covenant Health as a Senior Network Engineer. Following that, they had a role as a Sr. Manager - Systems Engineering at Intermedia Communications. In 2003, they became the Director of Information Technology at SeaCrest HealthCare Management. Jody then joined PharMerica as the Manager of Network Infrastructure & Security in 2005. After that, they worked as the Manager of Information Security at TECO Energy and later became the Director of Information Security at Ingevity. Jody also had interim roles as the Chief Information Officer and currently holds the position of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Ingevity.

Jody Barnes holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Carson-Newman University. In addition to their formal education, Jody has obtained a series of certifications related to cybersecurity, risk management, information systems, and networking. These certifications include the Enterprise Cybersecurity Leadership certification from the Professional Development Academy, the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert certification from the International Society of Automation (ISA), and the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification from (ISC)². Additionally, Jody has completed the FBI Citizen's Academy program and received certifications such as Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), Certified In Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Jody also holds various networking certifications, including Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA).
