Mark Childers has over 30 years of work experience in the chemical and manufacturing industry. Mark held various managerial roles at Ingevity, where they led global operations and manufacturing of activated carbon for automotive emissions, water purification, and solvent recovery. Mark was responsible for environmental and safety compliance, quality systems, and strategic planning. Prior to that, Childers worked at MeadWestvaco, where they served as the Charleston Plant Manager for Specialty Chemicals and the Paper Chemicals Business Manager. Mark also worked at Westvaco Corporation as a Project/Process Engineer and Paper and Packaging Research Engineer. Throughout their career, Childers has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a track record of achieving business growth and profitability.

Mark Childers holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
