Simba Jokonya

Simba Jokonya, PhD, is a Senior Formulation Chemist at Ingevity, specializing in sustainable lignin-based agrochemical formulations and polymeric drug delivery systems. They served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at both the University of Washington and Stellenbosch University, where they conducted cutting-edge research in drug delivery and polymer science. Simba's early experience includes work as an Associate Scientist at SIRDC, collaborating on polymer-based drug delivery systems for tuberculosis. They hold a Doctor of Philosophy in Polymer Chemistry from Stellenbosch University, along with a Master of Science in Polymer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Pure and Applied Chemistry.
