Damien Smith

Damien Smith is a Senior Reinsurance Underwriter at Inigo Insurance, a position held since 2020. Prior to this role, Damien had a distinguished career at Hiscox, serving as Head of Specialty and EVP, Underwriting Director for Bermuda, where responsibilities included overseeing global property reinsurance and the Non-Marine Treaty team. Damien began their career at Hiscox Syndicate 33 as a graduate trainee in 1994, eventually becoming a Hiscox Partner and contributing to the Lloyd's LMA Reinsurance Panel. Damien holds an MSc in Mathematical Physics from King's College London and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Nottingham.
