James Power

James Power is an experienced insurance professional currently serving as the Head of Marine & Energy at Inigo Insurance since June 2021. Prior to this role, James held significant positions at AXAXL as the Global Practice Leader for Marine Liability & Ports and Chief Underwriting Officer for UK Marine from August 2014 to June 2021, and at XL Global Services as a Marine & Offshore Energy Class Underwriter from September 2007 to August 2014. James began a career in the insurance industry as a Marine Liability Broker at Marsh and McLennan from September 1997 to September 2007. James completed the FT Board Director Programme in June 2023 and holds a degree in English Literature from The University of Sheffield, which was obtained from 1993 to 1996.
