Ed Russell

Ed Russell has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ed was the Head of Technology at Initials in December 2019. In January 2020, they founded their own company, LipurTech. Prior to that, Ed held the position of CTO at GivePenny starting from March 2015. From April 2015 to May 2018, they were the Director of ELLI GLOBAL. Simultaneously, they served as the CEO of The People Co-operative from January 2015 to May 2018. Ed also had a role as a Board Member at Co-operative Futures from August 2010 to May 2018. Notably, they were the CEO of Co-operative Web from August 2006 to May 2018, leading a worker co-operative with an ethical business approach. In 1999, Ed became a Partner at MBN Records, a breakbeat-focused record label. Additionally, they contributed as an Elected Member of the Worker Co-operative Council from June 2009 to June 2015. Lastly, Ed served as a Strategic Committee Member at Co-operatives WM from October 2010 to February 2013, where they represented co-operative enterprise in the West Midlands region.

Ed Russell attended Llanishen High School from 1988 to 1995. Following their high school education, they enrolled at the University of Birmingham, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence. Ed Russell completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Birmingham from 1995 to 1999.
