Mick Homer is currently the Headteacher of St Mary’s CE First School at Initio Learning Trust, a position held since the school converted to an academy in 2025. Previously, they served as Deputy Head Teacher and Teaching and Learning Leader at THE HEATH ACADEMY TRUST from 2019 to 2023. Mick's earlier roles include teaching and leadership positions at Borough of Poole and Hamwic Education Trust, as well as experience as a company owner and sports coach at Sport4Tots from 2011 to 2013. They earned a PGCE in Primary Education from Poole SCITT and hold a Bachelor of Science in Sports Development and Coaching from Bournemouth University.
