David Howells

David Howells has a diverse work experience, primarily focused on investment management and representing the University of Oxford as an investor and shareholder in various spinout companies. David is currently working as a Senior Investment Manager at Oxford University Innovation, where they manage the University's portfolio of spinouts and start-ups. In addition to this role, they also serve as a Non Executive Director at Neu Health, a Non Executive Director at Inkpath Limited, and as a Board Observer in over 20 Oxford University spinouts. Prior to their current position, David worked at VenCap International plc as a Senior Investment Manager, Investment Manager, and Senior Investment Analyst, leading due diligence on venture capital fund investments and managing relationships with fund managers. David started their career at GlaxoSmithKline as an Industrial Trainee, where they developed new analytical methods in a physical chemistry laboratory.

David Howells completed their education with a DPhil in Materials Science from the University of Oxford from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a M.Chem degree in Chemistry (1st Class) from The University of Manchester from 1998 to 2002.
