Carlos Mir has a diverse background in the field of information technology. Carlos started their career as a Programmer Analyst at Northern Trust Corporation in 1988, where they worked on various International Banking applications. Carlos used SYNON 2/E, RPG, and Cobol to maintain interfaces between AS/400 and Mainframe software. From 1995 to 1997, they worked as a Programmer Analyst at Sidley Austin LLP, where they designed the conversion of the AS/400 based Billing System to a Unix based software package. Carlos also created interfaces between AS/400 and Unix using FTP and Unix scripts. Carlos then joined Northern Trust Corporation again in 1997 as a Senior Systems Officer and was responsible for the renovation of the Client Tracking application for Y2K. Carlos expanded the application by creating new data capture screens and custom reports using Synon, RPG, and Cobol. Carlos also created and maintained interfaces to other banking systems using JCL and FTP. In 1998, Carlos worked at IBM as an Advanced I.T. Specialist, where they designed a new interface for ACH data from AS/400 to mainframe applications for Bank of America. Carlos wrote critical components for the interface using RPG, CLP, and JCL. Carlos also designed a process to automate Y2K testing environments setup and coordinated tests with clients. From 1999 to 2000, they worked as a Senior I.T. Consultant at Interface, Inc, where they used Cobol 400 and RPG ILE to enhance major components of a new inventory/manufacturing system for Interface Flooring. Carlos also designed and implemented software conversions for plants in California and Georgia. Carlos then joined United Guaranty Corporation in 2000 as an IT Consultant, where they developed custom applications and reports using RPG-FREE and SQL. Carlos closely worked with various business units to ensure accurate delivery of software solutions and analyzed, designed, and tested custom data extractions to meet industry compliance requirements. Carlos's most recent role was as a Senior Software Engineer at Inmar Intelligence, where they created new technical solutions for various promotions product lines, performed system forensics to determine expected behavior of applications and processes, and designed solutions to meet new business needs while maintaining existing functionality.
Carlos Mir attended Northeastern Illinois University from 1981 to 1982, where they studied Ancient Studies/Civilization. Carlos then went on to Columbia College Chicago from 1982 to 1986, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Theater.
