Amit is currently the Founder and CEO of Amaha (formerly InnerHour), a healthcare company focused on psychological wellness and mental health provision. In this role, they lead innovation, strategy, product development, and investor relations.

Prior to this, they served as an Advisory Board Member at Mirai Health, where they contributed to improving the healthcare experience for doctors and patients through connected healthcare services.

Before entering the healthcare industry, Amit took a sabbatical from clinical activities and worked as the Director of Healthcare at Allegro Capital Advisors, a boutique investment bank. Amit'sresponsibilities included advising clients on operations and strategy, as well as supporting evaluation and execution of M&A and equity financing transactions. Amit worked with notable clients such as Narayana Health, Manipal Hospitals, Biocon, and Medi Assist.

Amit also has experience in the public sector. Amit served as the Commercial Director at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, where they developed and delivered the commercial strategy for the organization. Additionally, they held roles as a Consultant Psychiatrist for Older Adults, Associate Medical Director for Older Adults Mental Health, and Head of Business Development during their time with the trust.

Earlier in their career, Amit worked at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust as the Clinical Services Director for Older Person's Mental Health Services and as a Consultant Psychiatrist. In these roles, they were responsible for providing clinical and medical leadership, managing complex patient cases, and leading multi-professional teams.

Amit Malik's education history is as follows:

Amit completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in Medicine at Kasturba Medical College from 1994 to 2000. Amit then pursued further education in the field of Psychiatry, obtaining a Membership degree from the Royal College of Psychiatrists from 2001 to 2004. Amit also completed a Diploma in Medical Sciences with a focus on Clinical Psychiatry at the University of Nottingham from 2002 to 2005.

Additionally, Amit obtained a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians, London in 2005. Amit furthered their training in Psychiatry by earning a Certificate of Completion of Training in Old Age Psychiatry from the General Medical Council from 2004 to 2007.

Later, Amit pursued a postgraduate degree in business administration, completing an Executive MBA at the London Business School from 2010 to 2012.
