Lorenz Berger is a Co-Founder of InnersightLabs, actively engaged since May 2015, focusing on innovative solutions in technology. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Associate at UCL from October 2016 to February 2018, specializing in deep learning for medical imaging. Lorenz was part of the March 2015 cohort at Entrepreneur First and previously worked as a Data Scientist at LendLayer from October 2014 to January 2015. Additionally, in June 2011, Lorenz contributed as a Researcher at the FMRIB Centre, University of Oxford, where involvement centered on a Bayesian independent component analysis model to analyze brain connectivity patterns. Earlier experience includes a summer analyst role at Credit Suisse in 2009, where participation occurred within the Algorithmic Execution Services team. Lorenz holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Oxford (2010-2015) and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Bristol (2007-2010).

At Innersight, we apply the latest in ML technologies to enable surgeons generate 3D models from 2D scans. Our models present the regions of interest (e.g. arteries, veins, healthy tissue and tumours) in a simple and effective visualisation environment. Like a flight simulator for surgery, Innersight aims to provide the full benefits of medical imaging to the clinician with increased speed and accuracy.
