Stephen Kopec

Stephen Kopec is an experienced educator and language specialist with extensive expertise in English language instruction and assessment. Currently serving as a Test Rater for Michigan Language Assessment since January 2023, Stephen has also held a long-term faculty position at the University of Pennsylvania, teaching intensive English classes to international students. In addition, Stephen works as a Language Specialist at Innodata Inc., focusing on creating multilingual training data sets for AI models, and has assessed Graduate Student Instructors' oral proficiency at the University of California, Berkeley. Previous roles include teaching positions at Bryn Mawr College, Rutgers University, and La Salle University, along with program coordination for adult literacy initiatives in Philadelphia. Stephen holds advanced degrees in Educational Linguistics and Bilingual/Bicultural Studies, complemented by a Bachelor's in Spanish/International Studies from La Salle University and studies at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
