Rob Niemela

Rob Niemela is a highly experienced Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer with a strong background in designing high-performance PCBs for defense and space applications. Currently employed at Innoflight since December 2022, Rob previously held senior design roles at Aethercomm, Cobham Sensor Systems, and MicroProbe, where expertise in RF, high-speed digital, and flex circuit design was established. Significant accomplishments include leading technical initiatives at Elgar Electronics, where a standardized design library was implemented, and heading the PCAD PCB Department at Pacific Design. Rob co-founded Creative Cad, contributing to operations and fostering vendor relationships. Educational qualifications include an Associate of Science degree in Engineering from Cuyamaca College.
