Tyler Smelt is an experienced FPGA Engineer IV at Innoflight since June 2020, following a robust career as a Hardware Design Engineer at TrellisWare Technologies from August 2013 to May 2020, where Tyler led a multidisciplinary team in designing handheld software-defined mobile ad hoc networking radios and developed baseband hardware subsystems for multiple generations of software-defined radios. Prior experience includes work as a Senior Engineering Clinic member at The Aerospace Corporation, where Tyler contributed to a low-power X-band radar system for CubeSat applications, and an Engineering Research role at Harvey Mudd College, which involved designing an analog data acquisition platform. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, completed in 2013.
