Laeeq Siddique

Laeeq Siddique has a breadth of experience in data science and bioinformatics. Laeeq served as the Chief Data Scientist at Innoplexus, where they utilized their knowledge of medical concepts and biomedical ontology to build semantic knowledge. Laeeq also worked on biomedical entity and relation extraction, hypothesis generation, and hypothesis scoring using NLP and machine learning techniques. Prior to this, Laeeq was an Assistant Vice President of Data Science at Barclays and a Lead Data Scientist at Saama Technologies, where they gained expertise in big data analytics, machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis. Laeeq also served as a Domain Team Lead Bioinformatics and Senior Software Engineer at Persistent Systems, focusing on the information aspects of life science and healthcare systems and specializing in microarray data analysis and statistical machine learning techniques.

Laeeq Siddique completed a BE (Electronics & Communication) degree from Jamia Millia Islamia from 1998 to 2002. During this time, they studied subjects such as Analog IC Design, VLSI Design, Active Network Filter Design, DSP, and Micro Electronics. Laeeq then pursued an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Bioinformatics from Jawaharlal Nehru Vishvavidyalaya from 2004 to 2005. Their studies focused on Statistics, Informatics, Data mining, and Machine Learning.
