Matt is the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer of Vivint, the largest home automation company in North America. He is the former managing partner of Innosight. During his decade at Innosight, he worked with Fortune 500 companies in industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, insurance, dental care, and consumer health. He is co-author of “Two Routes to Resilience,” in the December 2012 issue of Harvard Business Review.
Before joining Innosight, Matt was an executive at Medtronic, where he led a companywide senior team in redefining the role of the patient in the company’s long-term strategy. His extensive prior strategy consulting experience also includes work at Monitor Company in both the telecommunications and retail industries. He was also an early leader in Monitor’s country competitiveness practice, where he advised cabinet level government officials and CEOs on matters of economic development and prosperity.
Matt has led workshops and given numerous speeches to both senior management teams and broader audiences, including the World Environment Center. He currently serves on the board of Virgin Health Miles, part of the UK based Virgin Group.
Matt is a graduate of the University of Utah and the Harvard Business School.
