Tonya Smith

Tonya oversees Innosight’s human resources and talent strategy, including creating talent and professional development programs, enhancing engagement and retention, and building a culture of inclusion.

Tonya has 14 years of experience helping to build, grow, and manage talent, performance, and HR programs at global professional services firms. For the last 6 years, she was a Talent Consultant, Associate Director at EY, where she served as a strategic partner to business leaders to translate business needs into talent strategies for the firm’s Financial Services Organization practice of over 3000 employees. Prior to EY, Tonya was with PwC as a Human Resources Business Partner. In her role there, she drove the firm’s people strategy for the Chicagoland market of over 700 professionals for the Global Human Resources Advisory services and core Tax practices. She started her career at LEK Consulting as an HR Manager. Tonya managed the entire employee lifecycle including recruitment and retention, training and development, performance management, and employee relations.

Tonya received an MA in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University, following her BA in Psychology from Hampton University. She has also been awarded a Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification.

In her spare time, Tonya jungles the busy schedules of her three sons, Cayden, Landon, and Brennan with her husband Cyril. She serves on several committees with the Atlanta chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management and is a member of the Junior League. Tonya loves movies and is an avid reader and member of a book club for over 18 years.
