We are at a pivotal moment in human history. For the first time, creativity is the most important skill in business, as confirmed by such diverse sources as LinkedIn, Forbes, IBM, the World Economic Forum, and many others. This has been predicted for at least fifty years.   

Yet with COVID having forced many businesses to the brink of bankruptcy, the ability to innovate and pivot is now hyper-critical. And with automation increasing, ongoing unlearning and relearning and the purely human skill of creative adaptability is the most bankable for entrepreneurs and employees.

The challenge is that while almost all 5 year old children are creative geniuses, only 2% of adults retain this. Many blame school and society. Yet the greatest culprit is the SELF. Replacing our creativity with the skill of repeating what we have been taught has been the smartest survival strategy for most people. 

  Creativity is the ability to think differently from YOURSELF - meaning that even the most “creative” people face the challenge of being able to shift to meet the needs of a specific situation or project. This becomes even harder in teams, where each member of the team is facing their own challenge.
